Girl Talk is a speaking and retreat series designed to encourage girls (teens and preteens) to be the unique person God created them to be—to stop trying to prove their worth and start accepting their value. Today’s culture is sending a false message about what really matters in life to our girls. As a result, so many girls today get bound up in feelings of worthlessness and insecurity. In a world where we can be anything, just being ourselves is what leads to a life of fulfillment. We spend so much energy concerning ourselves with what others say and do and what they think we should say and do, all the while missing what God has for us. Girl Talk, with its theme "free 2b me", has met with a tremendous response. This message for our teen and pre-teen girls is long overdue! While this series was designed with church youth groups and private Christian schools in mind, it can be adapted for public school programs.
