Playing Like a Team!
A Workshop Designed for Team Leaders

Plato said it best, "You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation." During this hands-on team leader workshop, we will explore how to effectively facilitate and debrief team building activities to ensure that "active learning" occurs and is successfully transferred back to your team's work environment. Some of the most profound learning for teams comes from exploring the everyday challenges they face using team "games" as metaphors for those challenges when facilitated well.

The team leader handbook, Playing Like a Team: A Collection of Team Building Activities that Promote Serious Play and Lead to Serious Results is available as a take-home resource for participants.

Facilitate Don't Frustrate!
A Workshop Designed for Team Leaders to Improve Team Meetings.

Whether the team you are thinking of is your department, committee, company, ministry group, or family; working together involves meeting together. As the facilitator, focusing a group's thinking and discussion can be quite difficult at times. In French, the word "facilitate" means "to make easy." During this workshop we will explore the 3Ps of facilitation (Process, People, Play) to help you better balance participation, deepen discussions, strengthen connections, unlock creativity, and make sustainable group decisions. Facilitate don't frustrate!

Making the Connection!
A Group Dynamics Workshop Designed for Small Group Ministry Leaders

During my years of consulting with executives and their teams, coupled with my experiences as a PK (preacher's kid), I have realized what is true of groups in the marketplace is true of groups in ministry: Little else matters if people don't first feel connected to one another—education does not, experience does not, and skill does not. These important characteristics are unique to each individual in the group, but they don't affect the group's vitality until a connection is realized. Without feeling connected, people may attend our small groups but will they be changed? Once we begin to feel connected with people in our group, we open up to another connection—a life connection based on the message. What we learn in our small groups doesn't transform lives; doing something differently because of what we learn does. Small groups are the heartbeat of any ministry. That is where the personal touch happens—where hearts are opened, needs are met, and lives are changed. During this workshop, we will explore 10 ways to guide our groups to Make the Connection. We have to Stop doing what comes naturally and Start doing what works!

The handbook, Making The Connection: A Reference Guide for Small Group Ministry Leaders is available as a take-home resource for participants.
